with Bōnfun – “The Spirit of ‘fun”

Bōnfun infuses fine cognac with young wine and ages the blend five (5) years in 100 year-old Limousin oak barrels.

Bōnfun is produced in Cognac, France where the Company has an ownership stake in the largest organic cognac distillery in the world. Bōnfun samples were introduced at the 2012 Wine and Spirits Wholesale Association tradeshow to rave reviews and the Company will have a strong presence at this year’s Nightclub and Bar Show in Las Vegas this March.
Barsella credits the Company’s early success with three tenets: “(1) hard work is a must – vendors and employees can always call me before 11:00pm and after 3:00am, as I enjoy rising early to communicate with our European partners, (2) direct customer feedback is invaluable – my senior staff and I personally conduct at least one of our many monthly promotional tastings to interface with customers, and (3) planning is crucial – I learned while a young lieutenant in the U.S. Army that one must plan for every possible scenario and keep a cool head when unanticipated circumstances arise.”
Barsella praises equity partner Ad Agency 51 with creating superior sales collateral and the Bōnfun website (www.doyoubonfun.com), and has enlisted PUSH Marketing & Promotions and BMG Nation to play key roles in on-premise sales and promotions.
The Company is already working on its next “big thing”: with the aid of world-renown spirits engineer Jean-Luc Braud and fragrance experts in Grasse, France (perfume capital of the world), the Company has created the “Bōnfun Florals” – Bōnfun Jasmine, Bōnfun Hibiscus, and Bōnfun Elderflower. “I charged my close friends Master Distiller Jean-Francois Rault and Jean-Luc (a professor at the Centre International Des Spiritueux) to bottle the essence of what beauty tastes like.
