With over ten years of experience and countless iconic songs, Katy Perry is in a league of her own when it comes to pop superstardom. Despite her standalone status and untouchable stature, Katy’s always willing to work with other artists to create the perfect collaboration, combining her signature bouncy style with her partners’ own aesthetics. While the list of her best collabs pretty much includes every collab she’s ever done, here are five of our favorites, essential for new and longtime KatyCats alike!

“When I’m Gone” with Alesso

Katy gave us a New Year’s treat with her confident new track “When I’m Gone,” which also marks her first time working with Alesso. And after listening to this song, you’ll be dreaming about the next track these two make together! The song taunts an ex who won’t be able to move on easily and we can’t get over Katy’s gorgeous vocals or Alesso’s stunning production. This will definitely be a staple on all of our party soundtracks for years to come.

“Feels” with Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, and Big Sean

“Feels” was the star-studded summer bop we never knew we needed, bringing four of music’s biggest stars together and throwing a pool party in the process. Whether it was playing in the CD section of Target, blowing up the car radio, or even just popping up on your favorite streaming service, you couldn’t escape this song in 2017. And with such a catchy melody and fun lyrics, why would you want to?

“Con Calma” with Daddy Yankee and Snow

Katy ventured into the Latin scene when she appeared on Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma” in 2019, and we’re still not over her bilingual verses and chorus. It was only her first time appearing on a Spanish song and she blew everyone away by absolutely nailing it. We hope she hops on another Latin track soon, possibly with someone like Nicky Jam or the rising trio Eslabón Armado

“Cry About It Later” with Luísa Sonza and Bruno Martini

Katy remixed her bittersweet track “Cry About It Later” with velvety new vocals from Luísa Sonza and bouncy new production by Bruno Martini! We love that Katy reimagined one of our favorite songs of hers in a new light while also bringing the spotlight onto two underrated Brazilian artists. It also gives us an excuse to have the song on all our playlists twice, with both the original and the remix.

“California Gurls” with Snoop Dogg

It wouldn’t be a proper Katy Perry collab roundup without the iconic 2010 hit “California Gurls!” Even though Dr. Luke’s presence in the production credits has cast a sly cloud over the song’s legacy, there’s no denying that it’s sheer pop perfection. We didn’t expect Snoop Dogg to hop on such a bubbly song, but we’re so glad he wound up being part of the track. There’s no better way to celebrate California than to unite two of the state’s finest artists!
