Get your playlists ready for a new addition, because we just found your new favorite alternative artist. 16-year-old Havanna Winter is ready to take the scene by storm with her soft yet strong voice and anthemic guitar lines, managing to pack so much emotion into the two and a half minutes of her debut single, “rain rain go away.” She captures the worries and doubts of the lyrics perfectly while still sounding confident and stable, ready to take on the world at a moment’s notice.
“The song is about a girl who is trying to run away from her problems,” Havana tells TREMG. “I feel like that’s very relatable because I think we all feel like that sometimes.”
Alongside “rain rain go away” comes an eerie music video full of teen rebellion, rooftop performance shots, and a good dose of blood, thanks to its fun vampire theme. Havanna runs through a city and tries to escape a duo of cops before turning them into her dinner, making for a thrilling concept with a little nod to a classic film.
“It was actually my mom who came up with the idea of the music video,” Havanna explains. “She’s a creative director, and because the song has a vampire vibe to it, and one of our favorite movies is The Lost Boys, we wanted to recreate some of that 80s retro vibe from the movie.”
Aside from her music, Havanna has a strong social media presence with over six million combined followers across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Triller. She’s managed to go viral and build a special connection with some of her biggest fans, getting to celebrate her budding music career with the ones who have supported her all along.
“It makes me very happy because I’ve worked very hard and I was really excited to release my first single,” she shares. “It’s always scary to do something new because you don’t know how other people are gonna react to it, but at the end of the day, I just have to do what feels right to me.”

Congrats on your debut single, “rain rain go away!” How does it feel to finally share the song with the world?
Thank you so much! It’s really exciting! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time so I’m really happy that I’ve finally had the chance to release it! 🙂
What does “rain rain go away” mean to you?
The song is about a girl who is trying to run away from her problems. I feel like that’s very relatable because I think we all feel like that sometimes.
Is there a certain lyric on “rain rain go away” that you particularly love?
I love the pre where it goes “I see the villains on the outside, I watch ‘em stare til the sunrise / They can run, but they cannot hide ‘cause I’ve been running all my damn life.” It’s so vampire-y and I love it.
How did you know now was the right time to debut and release your first song?
I just felt very strongly that it was time.
You have a combined social media following of over 6 million, which is incredible! What has it been like to see how much your fans love “rain rain go away?”
It makes me very happy because I’ve worked very hard and I was really excited to release my first single. It’s always scary to do something new because you don’t know how other people are gonna react to it, but at the end of the day, I just have to do what feels right to me.
You also made a stunning music video for “rain rain go away,” playing a vampire outrunning two cops. How did you come up with the video concept, and what was it like on set?
It was actually my mom who came up with the idea of the music video. She’s a creative director, and because the song has a vampire vibe to it, and one of our favorite movies is The Lost Boys, we wanted to recreate some of that 80s retro vibe from the movie.
You’ve gotten to live in a lot of cool places – you were born in Norway, spent your summers in Spain when you were younger, and moved to LA when you were nine. Do you ever take inspiration from different places for your music?
Yes, I definitely do. LA in particular is very inspirational to my music.
In the next few months, you’ll be dropping a few more singles to get fans excited for an album next year with some help from executive producer Maya K. She’s worked with everyone from Bebe Rexha to J Balvin – what has it been like to have her guiding you?
I love Maya. She’s so amazing to work with. I feel like she’s a perfect match for me because she knows exactly what I want.
In addition to your music, we love your edgy sense of style! Where do you find fashion inspiration?
Aww, thank you! I don’t know, I kinda just find pieces online that I like. I feel like I don’t really have ONE aesthetic when it comes to my clothes. Some days I wear edgy stuff and other days I wear more hippie stuff.
We at TREMG love getting to know new artists who haven’t gotten the success or attention they deserve. Who are some of your favorite underrated artists at the moment?
I love Remi Wolf and Polo & Pan.
What can your fans look forward to in the rest of 2022?
I am releasing 2 more singles, which I am very excited about!
