The video showed the entrance of a building with a black Target logo sign hanging above it and had a voiceover with the video creator claiming to be working on a commercial for the new store. A Target spokesperson confirmed to Business Insider that the content of the video was false.
Target’s official TikTok account even commented on the video to set the record straight. “Behind those doors is our New York offices,” the comment said. Nevertheless, in three days, the video has garnered 141.9K likes and received 1,585 comments.
