After charming audiences on Netflix for two years, it has been announced that “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” will be cancelled after the second part of its second season is released.
Based on the Archie Comics series, the series follows Sabrina Spellman, played by Kiernan Shipka. Sabrina is half witch and half mortal who lives with her two witch aunts Hilda, played by Lucy Davis, and Zelda, played by Miranda Otto. As she grows up in Greendale, Sabrina must fight the evil forces that threaten her friends and family while coming to terms with her mixed witch heritage.
It was announced via Twitter that the second part of the second season would the show’s last coming out later on in 2020.
With this announcement, it means that now both spin-offs of “Riverdale” have been cancelled with other spin-off “Katy Keene” being cancelled after only one season on The CW earlier this year.
The news of the cancellation has upset many fans of the series with many saying that “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” was better than “Riverdale” in many aspects.
