Joe Biden and Donald Trump have 100 days to win the U.S. presidency.

You also have 100 days. Less than that, really.

America will choose between Trump and Biden Nov. 3. This is probably the most important election in American history. I KNOW it’s the most important election in my own lifetime.

Depending upon where you live, you don’t have even that much time to register to vote. Time limits apply. Do it now, please.

Joe Biden
Donald Trump

If you’ve never voted and don’t know how, simply enter “register to vote” and the name of your state in your browser, and you’ll get that information quickly. Then, find out what you need to do to register and DO IT.

This is a good website, with an extensive list of frequently-asked questions among its links: https://www.usa.gov/register-to-vote

In most states, registering is fairly quick and pretty simple.

The thing is, you HAVE to be registered. No just showing up at a polling place will work.

Some people will try to tell you that you forfeit your right to complain if you don’t vote. I’m not one of them. The U.S. Constitution guarantees both voting rights and freedom of speech, and one isn’t a requirement for the other.

But if don’t vote, you’re missing something, which is the right to actually have a voice in the process. And if you’re out there protesting, or inclined to side with the protesters, that’s part of what you want.

I wouldn’t sell my right to vote in November for any price. Trump, I believe, is an evil, lying racist misogynist sews chaos to satisfy his warped personal needs and who has bungled government response to COVID-19 so badly that he is responsible for the deaths of some Americans.

Joe Biden isn’t perfect, but he’s nothing like Trump. Nothing. I personally believe that another Trump term will cost more lives, continue and exacerbate the problems of minorities and the poor.

Please register to vote and then vote Nov. 3.
