Fans reacted on Twitter to the release news about Mulan, but Disney says it fits the model. The $30 is not a monthly fee like their regular subscription, this is more of a permanent lease kind of deal that expires when your membership expires. A lot of folks compared it to the release of Hamilton.

I'm not saying I won't pay $30 for Mulan, I most like will since it's the one I've been the most excited for! BUT, how do you justify $30 for Mulan but Hamilton was "included?"

In comparison to the film’s original pre-covid theatrical release, the $30.00 would be comparable to taking a family of four to see the movie during opening weekend. Then again, is your home giving the same experience as going to the movies? Doubt it.
