As the death toll reached 160,000 Americans in the COVID-19 pandemic, Donald Trump was taking a long weekend at a club he owns in New Jersey.
In other words, even if he only played golf on Friday — which he did — Trump spent the weekend on the taxpayer dime at his club. Every such visit costs big money, and what Trump is essentially doing is charging the U.S. Treasury for his holidays.
In other words, he is using our money to pay himself to play golf, and his own clubs likeTrump National in New Jersey are being paid at an astounding rate to host the “President.”

According to the website, Trump’s golf trips have cost Americans $139 MILLION since his inaguration in 2017.

This from the guy who claimed in 2016 that he wouldn’t have time to golf because presidents are too busy, and who claimed that President Barack Obama golfed too often.
Trump has visited his own clubs once every 4.8 days since he took over. At the current rate, he is projected to do so 303 times in four years. Obama, meanwhile, golfed 306 times in EIGHT years. If Trump is reelected, God forbid, and if he golfed at the same rate as he is currently golfing, he would visit his own clubs more than 600 times in eight years.
Put another way, Trump will have spent nearly one of his four years in office at a golf club he owns. That’s not only a lot of vacation time, but somebody else is paying for it.
Show that statistic to someone who gets two or three weeks of paid vacation and see what they say. Come to think of it, that someone is probably you. What do YOU say?
