After being closed down for five months, AMC Theatres plans to make a triumphant return across the country starting on August 20th.

In a tweet posted by the company, over 100 AMC locations are set to be opened on the 20th. The tweet also said 300 more would be opening in the coming weeks as to keep within state and local guidelines.

With COVID-19 still going on, AMC Theatres has said that their “top priority is the health and safety of our guests and crew.” New policies have been implemented in the theatres including limited audience capacity, required mask usage and enhanced cleaning procedures.

As theaters begin to reopen, AMC looks to have many specials and deals to draw guests back into movie theaters from price deals and special releases.
