New Netflix Film, “Enola Holmes”, to Premiere this September
We say, “excellent!” and Netflix says, “elementary.”
For all of you Sherlock Holmes fans, life just became a little bit more interesting. Come this September, Netflix is introducing a new spin-off of the beloved classic, titled, Enola Holmes.
Based on the book series, by Nancy Springer, Enola Holmes follows the story of young Enola, (Millie Bobby Brown) the kid sister of the legendary, Sherlock Holmes. In the newly released trailer, we see that after her mother, Eudoria (Helena Bonham Carter) vanishes without a trace, the wild and zany Enola starts her quest to solve the mystery of her mother’s disappearance, and bring her home.
We see that, along the way, she enlists the help of some others, including the young Viscount Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), and her two brothers, the wickedly sharp Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft (Sam Claflin). The trailer foreshadows Enola’s famous sleuthing gene truly being put to the test, as well as the adversity she will have to overcome, as a young, independent woman challenging the strict standards of a being a “lady,” in proper society.

The film was written by Jack Thorne and directed by Harry Bradbeer, director of Fleabag and Killing Eve. Enola Holmes can be streamed on Netflix, beginning September 23rd.
