Four Movies to Watch in November

It is November, which means everyone is putting up their Christmas decorations and playing holiday music on the radio. In November we dive into the holiday cheer and for the most part neglect the holiday of Thanksgiving. Granted, Thanksgiving is probably the one thing we look forward to in November. Maybe not many, which can be a hectic time of tolerating family members once a year to sit down and have a big family meal. For many it is a crucial time to bring family together and close no matter virtual or in person. With holiday movies showing on the tv, there really isn’t a movie theme that represents Thanksgiving. Since Thanksgiving uses the “turkey” as the symbol for this holiday., here are four family friendly movies that are about birds.

1. Angry Birds (2016)

All the birds live happily on Bird Island. The main character, Red, is a bird that is an outcast because he has anger issues. When green piggies visit their island, Red is suspicious of their arrival. With the help of two bird outcasts, Chuck and explosive Bomb, they work together to prevent the green piggies from stealing their island.

2. Storks ( 2016)

Storks use to deliver babies but now deliver packages. Junior, one of the top delivery storks, is in a predicament when the Baby Factory accidentally produces an unauthorized baby girl. Desperate to deliver the baby, Junior and his friend Tulip, the only human on Stork Mountain, quickly try to deliver the baby before the boss finds out.

3. Chicken Little (2005)

Chicken Little is humiliated by the entire town when he claims to have a piece of the sky fall on his head. A year later he is still ridiculed because of his mistake. Chicken Little wants to restore his reputation and prove to everyone that he is not crazy. When things start to go his way in restoring his image, he stumbles upon an actual piece of the sky. With this new evidence in his grasp, Little and his friends Abby, Runt, and Fish, band together to find the truth in order to save their town.

4. Happy Feet (2006)

In the penguin community in order to find your soul mate you must possess a Heart song, which is a singing voice that will amaze your potential penguin partner. A little penguin named Mumble has a terrible singing voice and later discovers he has no Heart song. However, Mumble has a different talent that none of the penguins had ever seen before: tap dancing. Although his parents are supportive, they worry he will not find true love. As fate would have it, Mumble’s childhood friend Gloria, who has the most amazing signing voice, has a connection with Mumble but cannot understand his tap dancing. The entire penguin community cannot understand Mumble’s tap dancing and so he is banished from their community. Mumble is on his own, but meets a posse of penguins called the Adelie Amigos who journey with him to find answers and prove that being true to yourself is what is important.
