FADER Label has found rampant success with signees like Slayyyter, binki, and Clairo, but their momentum is far from over. The group is closing out September with two new signees, Chloe George and shallou, who have already been making waves on their own and will surely be the next big thing with FADER’s help.
General manager Carson Oberg explains, “Chloe George is one of the most brilliant writers we have come across, she has so many stories to tell through her music and we cannot wait to launch her artist project on the back of her success with her viral song, ‘ghost town.’ shallou has a proven track record on converting his success on streaming platforms to live ticket sales with playing the likes of Coachella, Lollapalooza, Outsidelands, and sold-out tours. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome him to the FADER Label family as he is a true visionary in the indie electronic space.”
Let’s take a look at these artists’ work and accomplishments!
Chloe George made her FADER debut this week with “Peachi,” a commentary on fast-paced modern life that shows off her lyrical and vocal prowess. She’s gone viral on TikTok several times with her more stripped-down musical clips, particularly her mellow cover of Kanye West’s “Ghost Town” that has collected over two million plays. Aside from her own work, George has behind-the-scenes credits on songs like BLACKPINK’s “Love to Hate Me” and Tori Kelly’s “Unbothered,” as well as past experience with Dua Lipa and Normani.
“I’m so stoked to be able to grow with FADER,” George says. “They work with some of my favorite musicians, and I’ve always loved how artist-friendly they are.”
shallou is an ambient pop producer and songwriter who has already worked with the likes of Daya and Zachary Knowles. Mastermind Joe Boston released his debut EP, All Becomes Okay, in 2017 and is gearing up for a tour later this year. He dropped his most recent single, “Heartaches,” just a few weeks ago, and it signals a promising future for the Los Angeles creative.
“I’m really excited for the new possibilities with FADER Label,” shallou shares. “I love their mindset of helping me boost my profile while also staying true to myself and my unique sound. I feel really connected with the whole team and the new music has been really successful so far. Their level of investment is amazing.”
In addition to signing these new artists, FADER Label has also named Matt Colwell as their Director of A&R, Salvatore Maicki as their Creative Content Manager, Yasmine Panah as their Senior Marketing Manager, and Josh Hymowitz as a Project Manager. We can’t wait to see what’s next for the label!
