Federal prosecutors have reached plea agreements with Travis McMichael and his father, Gregory McMichael, on hate crime charges they faced in the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, court documents show, News In Progress

Plea agreement documents were filed yesterday in US District Court, Southern District of Georgia on January 30th, 2022. Reps for the Arbery family have stated that they are devastated.
The McMichaels were sentenced earlier this month to life in prison without the possibility for parole in a Glynn County, Georgia, for murdering Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old unarmed Black man who was jogging near his home.
