Now that President Biden has decided to BAN Russian oil imports, it’s even more critical that the U.S. Postal Service CANCEL its plans to purchase a massive new fleet of gas-guzzling mail delivery vehicles.
McDonald’s will temporarily close all its restaurants in Russia and pause operations there in response to the invasion of Ukraine, the company said on Tuesday. https://t.co/h9Ob24dZLq
.@POTUS just signed an Executive Order to ban the import of Russian oil, liquefied natural gas, and coal to the U.S. – a significant action with bipartisan support that will further deprive President Putin of economic resources for his needless war of choice.
So Biden is banning Russian oil imports (which he should have done since the beginning if he wanted the sanctions to be serious) but is looking to substitute for those imports oil from…Venezuela, a Russian ally and authoritarian socialist state. Makes sense!
