With summer dwindling and fall getting a gentle start, now is the perfect time to evaluate how you want to spend the last few months of the year! Luckily, we have some pretty great new music to help us through that transition. Whether you’re trying to pick up the pieces after going through something awful, or if you’re just bored of where you are and want a chance, we’ve got the perfect song suggestions that will bring your energy and confidence through the roof!

Bob The Drag Queen – “Bitch Like Me”

Our first recommendation is by the incredible nonbinary artist Bob The Drag Queen, who’s entering a new era of his career with the high-energy “Bitch Like Me.” If this song doesn’t boost your mood, we don’t know what will! It’s all about having fun and not taking life or yourself too seriously – see the key lyric “don’t watch football, but this a home run” for an example. Between the buzzing bass and the pop culture references, “Bitch Like Me” is an all-around good time and definitely deserves a spot on your playlist! Check it out below then connect with Bob on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.

This single goes a lot harder than other things I’ve done before. I think when I was on Drag Race, I was trying to be mindful of the audience and image that comes with the show. But I think that over time I’ve finally curated an audience and fans that really like and appreciate me for me, which makes me feel more comfortable.

ILLENIUM & Skylar Grey – “From the Ashes”

Take a triumphant step into your next chapter with this brand new collab from ILLENIUM and Skylar Grey, which discusses wanting to move forward and rebuilding a new life when you feel like you have “nothing to lose.” Between ILLENIUM’s sleek production and Skylar’s emotive vocals, “From the Ashes” is the anthem you need to push through to the other side of what you’re going through. It’s impossible not to feel empowered after listening to this song! You can get to know ILLENIUM on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and his official website, and learn more about Skylar Grey on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and her website.

This is one of those songs that I feel so lucky and grateful to be a part of. My main goal with music is to give people peace and some escape – and that’s exactly what ‘From The Ashes’ does for me.

Noah Kahan – “Northern Attitude”

This next song has a more mellow vibe than the other songs we’ve listed, but the energy is just as infectious. On “Northern Attitude,” Noah Kahan reflects on his life so far while noting where he can improve and open up his heart more. Each and every lyric works together to paint such a vivid picture of the situations he’s describing, while pianos and guitars seamlessly interact in the background to create a thrilling sonic landscape. It’s thoughtful and full of raw emotion, showcasing what a talented lyricist and vocalist Noah is while encouraging the listener to reevaluate where they’re at in a similar way – the only direction is upwards. Be sure to pre-save Noah’s Stick Season album ahead of its release in October and link up with Noah on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and his official site for more reflective moments!

I was singing about isolation, about loneliness, about trying to assess who you are and where your life is going, and about accepting that and opening yourself up to love either way. Vermont has the second smallest population in the United States, and the second most rural population too. By definition, it is one of the loneliest places to live in the world. […] All that time in solitude can bring about clarity in oneself, and I believe this song is an exploration of that self-realization. Thank you to those who supported this tune from the beginning and a warm embrace to my fellow humans raised on little light.

Sizzy Rocket – “Live Laugh Love”

How could we possibly live (laugh love) without Sizzy Rocket? Her music is always there to give us a boost when we’re feeling down and the title track of her upcoming record, Live Laugh Love, is the perfect example. This song’s confidence and fun vibes are so infectious – as can be expected from any Sizzy Rocket song, but it feels so fresh and celebratory. It’s a rallying anthem for anyone who could use a little carefree energy to push forward or be who they truly are. Live Laugh Love is an art-punk extravaganza, two years in the making. These songs were truly ripped from my soul during a time when I needed inspiration more than anything. I just showed up to the studio every day fueled by bittersweet memories and wild nights. It’s a collection of my favorite stories I’ve never shared until now. And it finally feels like letting go, which is embedded in the message behind the phrase ‘Live Laugh Love’ if you listen closely.
