As one of the only Black-owned media outlets in Minnesota, On Site Public Media is committed to amplifying historically underestimated voices by providing creators with the means to tell their own stories.

On Site Public Media began as a vehicle to bring intervention-based forum to communities for catharsis. We are now a public media outlet that provides access to equipment, expertise, and studio space so that all are able to speak their truth through film and photography.

Earlier this week, the Department of Justice released a 90-page report detailing its multi-year investigation of the Louisville Metro Police Department in Kentucky following the murder of Breonna Taylor.

Among the DOJ’s findings was mention of a 14-year-old Black child being attacked by a police dog, while complying with the officer.

According to the report, “The officer was leading his dog to search for a person suspected of a home invasion. After searching for several minutes, the officer saw the teenager lying on the ground, face down in the grass…Immediately after noticing the teen, the officer deployed his dog off-leash — without giving any warning — and ordered the dog to bite the teen at least seven times.”

At one point the officer yelled “stop fighting my dog” while the dog was attacking the child’s arm. The child was hospitalized for severe injuries as a result of the attack.

Here are some other findings from the report:

LMPD uses excessive force, including unjustified neck restraints and the unreasonable use of police dogs and tasers.

LMPD conducts searches based on invalid warrants.

LMPD unlawfully executes search warrants without knocking and announcing.

LMPD unlawfully stops, searches, detains, and arrests people during street enforcement activities, including traffic and pedestrian stops.

LMPD unlawfully discriminates against Black people in its enforcement activities.

LMPD violates the rights of people engaged in protected speech critical of policing.

Louisville Metro and LMPD discriminate against people with behavioral health disabilities when responding to them in crisis.

Day 17….

#BlackHistoryMonth

The mark of the beast is found in revelations.

“And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19‬:‭20‬ ‭

#Beware of those who honor the beast in a higher consciousness level than their own kind.

Do you know the value of #hushpuppies ? Runaways cooked them and traveled with them on the #undergroundrailroad because it would keep the dogs the slave patrols and catchers sent after them at bay. Stupid mutts 🐕🐶🦴

He’s basically saying in political forum dogs are more important than Black Americans being arrested for weed. 😂🤓🇺🇸 You really have to learn to connect the spiritual world to the physical.

In September of 2020, the Washington Post shared a story about police dogs “still” being used against Black Americans. Why did defund the police receive so much backlog when the facts lend a different story about their conduct? Doesn’t Black America deserve the right to transparency within police training since they are the community being tortured, killed, and left without just prayers and tears?

When will enough Americans respond politically, to change the criminal justice system, so it reverts back to being blind and balanced? How many years of protesting is required to show a change for civil liberties for non-white Americans?
