Is there anything quite like the rush of discovering a new song or artist you can’t get enough of? We think not, and that’s exactly why we at TREMG love spotlighting rising and underappreciated talent to give creators at every level the recognition they deserve. So many artists spent November offering fans new treats, releasing some of the best work of their career, and opening up in their lyrics like never before. Throughout November, we got to talk to incredible artists like Malo and A-Zal about their latest projects, but there’s a whole world of talent making their own waves. Here are some of our favorite new releases from this month!
Before we get into this month’s roundup, we’d like to send our love and thoughts to Palestine and anyone affected by the current violence. Learn more about ways you can help here.
Audrey Nuna – “Cellulite”
If only social media pressured us to reduce the toxicity in our lives rather than our weights, right? Audrey Nuna’s “Cellulite” is a digicore wonderland that reminds us to look out for our minds just as much as our bodies, reminiscent of alt-pop greats like Charli XCX while also carving space for Audrey as a future legend. It’ll inspire to turn back to yourself and the things you love rather than stressing about what you can’t stand, which is the perfect note to end the year on. Check out more from Audrey on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and her website!
This is a song about cutting the fat out of your life and rejecting the toxic shit that could weigh you down. It’s the soundtrack of me taking a butter knife & performing spiritual liposuction on myself. A painful and liberating process. I wrote this because I felt tired of the saturated butter and energy clogging around my heart and felt the need to release that. There’s an over-emphasis of cool sculpting and plastic surgery ads in the world, but we ignore the fact that we’re all spiritually clogged up as a society – there’s so much excess everywhere.

Ava King – “Worst In Me”
Not looking forward to the holidays or the prospect of getting a vague “hey, merry Christmas” text from your ex? Ava King has your back with “Worst In Me,” a fierce anthem exploring how we affect those around us and how they affect us right back. Its dark allure and magnetic synths will draw you right in, empowering you to stand true in your identity and stay authentic to who you are through the dark winter months. Fans of Billie Eilish and DeathByRomy will be as obsessed as we are! If you think Ava King is the new queen of your playlist, connect with her on Facebook and Instagram.
[This song is] the story of two good people, who, in each other’s presence, become awful, narcissistic bitches. You can be a good person, but when you’re around certain people, you become the worst in the world… I get really triggered sometimes and am not the person I want to be. I feel very separated from my family of origin. The track is about loving somebody but knowing that being around them makes both of you awful– having love for somebody but knowing they’re not good for your health and vice versa.

Brett Altman – “Abundance”
It can be easy to miss out on new musical gems when there’s such an abundance of standout artists, but we promise you that Brett Altman is one rising star you need to keep your eye on. We introduced you to the bouncy “My Way Out” back in July, and he’s back with another treat to brighten your fall in the form of “Abundance,” a celebration of the happiness we can find in our daily lives and the pursuit of our goals. The base of the song came about in just a few hours, which serves as a testament to Brett’s focused creative vision and ability to effortlessly capture feelings that might otherwise be difficult to describe. Link up with Brett on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and his official website for more!
I’m a fairly optimistic and positive person; however, that is not always reflected in my music. I have historically found it challenging to write about happiness. With ‘Abundance,’ I finally feel like I captured joy in its purest form. This song is about accepting expansive energy and a reminder that we all have potential to reach our dreams. Our life is not limited to what we physically see in front of us.

EMI WIDE & Jaydev – “Feels”
Just in time for cuffing season or one of the loneliest times of the year, depending on your views on love, EMI WIDE and Jaydev have delivered one of our new favorite collabs with the energizing “Feels.” The song explores the push and pull of modern relationships while insisting, “you and I, baby, that’s a vibe.” And yes, the track is as much of a vibe as that line suggests! EMI and Jaydev’s sounds work so well together, and this is truly a match made in musical heaven. Check EMI out on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and get to know Jaydev on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok!
‘Feels’ is about the longing and frustrations that can easily arise in a relationship in 2023; a time when it’s never been easier to communicate with each other – and yet it can often be extremely difficult, even though you may ultimately want the same thing.
