Danny Boyle is set to team up with Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan for a biblical feature titled “Methusela.” The film is said to be based on the story of a man who lived to be 969 years old. However, there are now talks that the original concept has been changed and that the creative team is looking to take the project in a different direction.

The studio behind the film, Warner Bros. is said to have been interested in casting Michael B. Jordan for quite some time in a major feature film. Jordan will assume producing duties along with Outlier Society head of production Alana Mayo. Tony Gilroy is said to have written the last draft of the screenplay.

Boyle’s last outing, Yesterday, brought in $153 million worldwide for Universal. Boyle was almost set to direct the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die before parting ways with the studio over ‘creative differences.’

Jordan and Boyle are repped by WME.
