We have seen movies, some great, some wanting. In all these, there are scenes, or flashes of questionable items that we have taken notice of. An early example is Dorothy’s hair in the Wizard of Oz. In one scene her hair is long and the next frame it is shorter. Also in the Wizard of Oz we wonder, why didn’t the witch just kill her versus scaring her, and if the Wicked witch of the west melted with water, why would she have any water in the castle? . Well, cinema sins or everything wrong with .. (whatever the movie title is )can put a answer to those questions that were deep seeded in you for years. They take on any movie, nothing is off limits, not Jaws, not Star Wars, or countless other franchises out there.

Cinema sins was started by Jeremy Scott, and Chris Atkinson, who met as managers in a movie theater. Watching these movies over and over again, you start to question them and look for irregularities. This channel was originally started in 2011, called thecussingchannel, which contained cohorted cuts of just the cussing in a movie such as pulp fiction and just the spells in Harry Potter. This ended up morphing into the everything wrong series, starting with the amazing spider-man.

It did not stop just at movies, they started adding music videos, and now the latest is television series. Less than ten years later, they have 2 billion views and money in their pocket for other ventures, such as their podcast. It is not all roses , as there are some, especially filmmakers, who say the duo are trivial and trolling the art form. Jeremy Scott ‘s sarcastic views and nitpicking is frankly what endears the viewer to these vignettes. He cohesively calls out mistakes like a auctioneer, and inserts his evil laugh and shrewish tallying of sins with a ding of a bell. With the movie Forest Gump, for example, the cinema sins narration extols the sin of narration in movies. An ex- machina is used often as a notable person or thing that appears or introduced into a situation suddenly and unexpectedly and provides a artificial or contrived solution to apparently unsolvable problem. I will take for example the TV show Dallas. Back in the 80’s this was the show to watch. JR got shot, many things happened, but the ex -machina was that it was all just a dream.

These assessments of movies show the side we always wanted to delve into, and it is great fun to watch. You can find Everything Wrong With on youtube.
