Former Glee star and performer Naya Rivera has been found, five days after her disappearance.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office tweeted Monday: “A body has been found at Lake Piru this morning,” “The recovery is in progress.”
A news conference is set to take place at 2 p.m. PT at Lake Piru.
Rivera had gone missing while her and her four year old son were on a trip to Lake Piru. On July 8th, Rivera’s son, Josey, was found alone on a boat at the California lake. He and his mother had been swimming there a day earlier. Just a day later, authorities had announced that 33 year old Naya Rivera was presumed dead.
Authorities claim that Josey was in “good health” despite Rivera’s disappearance. The child was reunited with his father and Rivera’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey. The toddler told authorities that Rivera had never got back into the boat after swimming.
A source from People magazine states that, “Nobody has heard anything.” “Everyone is in a wait and see pattern and trying to figure out exactly what happened.” The news conference is set for today, 08/13 at 2pm PST.
