What Really Caused Beirut Catastrophic Explosion

Many people have held the belief that the Beirut explosion was a terrorist attack or even something similar. However, It has been discovered that the massive explosion which killed over 100 people, injuring 4,000 or more was caused by a “confiscated high explosive materials

Two explosions happened in Beirut on Tuesday. The first or initial blast was witnessed by locals in Beirut, as fireworks filled the sky to an orange cloud. The fire from the initial blasts spread to a nearby building where the larger explosion happened.

Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim, the head of Lebanon’s general security service, said the blast on Tuesday was caused by “confiscated high explosive materials” stored in the near port. These explosive materials in the port were seized by the government long ago.

It would be “naive to describe such an explosion as due to fireworks,” Gen. Ibrahim told Lebanese TV.

The second explosion which had more damage to lives and property caused a magnitude 3.3 earthquake according to the United States Geological Survey.

The density of the blast was very critical making an impact in Cyprus, over 100 miles away.

Currently, 300,000 are left homeless by the catastrophic blast. With the hope of searching for survivors, more are yet to be discovered.
