THE EMPOWERMENT OF APPRECIATION

What does empowerment have to do with appreciation? Appreciation is a thought and a feeling. You can practice the thought of appreciation until you generate within yourself deep feelings of appreciation. This is a thought made visible. When you are persistent in generating feelings of appreciation, you will find something to appreciate. You’ll find yourself surrounded with people showing appreciation to you. Even in matters you had taken for granted. Pause for a moment to contemplate the thought, “appreciation”. Notice images that appear in the mind’s eye. These images you are calling to the surface of your mind, showing you something to appreciate.

Appreciation is an empowering thought. How is appreciation an empowering thought? In so many of your thoughts is the energy of stress, running your life. You see, a thought is like your boss telling you what to do. Think of a thought as someone who is directing you along your path from one place to another. The thought spells out your destination. Understand the deal with thoughts is that you are continually moving toward your chosen destination, generating feelings of stress take you off path. Examples of feelings of stress are these: fear, doubt, frustration, rage, anger, anxiety, insecurity, unworthiness, hatred, guilt, blame or worry.

Thought represents your beliefs and feelings about yourself. Stress thoughts  generate the energy of feelings moving you away from your chosen destination. Appreciation, the thought, is your empowerment, call it your internal GPS, shows you where it is allowing correction in your direction so you reach your destination. In other words, who you believe you are determines where you are. What? Look around to see where you are psychologically. Where you are reveals your attitudes toward yourself and others, and everyone and everything around you is reflecting your attitudes and thoughts back to you. If, for instance, you are worried about something, not even saying anything out loud, something comes before you to worry about. You get to worry about something someone says or does. Your worry appears so you can allow correction.

No matter what the worry, worry as an energy is neutral. The thing you worry about is neutral. Even the person saying or doing something that brings out your worry is neutral. You’re asking, “What do you mean when you say these are ‘neutral’?” The person, thing, and the energy of worry are neutral until you assign meaning and value to them. Consider times you were in the presence of someone stressed with worry. When that person told you about it, you knew right away, and perhaps whispered to them, “You don’t have to worry about.” Then you showed them the most perfect solution. They had valued the matter with worry, you didn’t. The other person was in bondage to the worry, but you freed them with your solution.

Worry as an energy is neutral because it is only doing its job when you decide to use it to give meaning or value to something. You are actually free to worry or not, it is a choice. The person bringing something to worry about is just doing their job innocently because they were already in the vibratory state of worry, or akin to worry. It’s as though they heard your call for something to worry about. Further, the thing you worry about is neutral. Whether it is your bank account or the body you worry about, or the relationship, again, absolutely neutral, malleable, responding to the energy of your worry. Instead of worrying, appreciate, and notice how quickly everything changes when you change your attitude about yourself from worry to appreciation.

So you might be wondering how to change your attitude from worry to appreciation. This is where your empowerment comes in. It takes a bit of work, persistent practice in the thought of appreciation until it becomes a natural thought. How does the thought of 30 days to accomplish the attitude of appreciation feel? Is this something you are willing to do? How willing are you to commit yourself to practicing the thought of appreciation every day for 30 days? Five minutes a day? Are you willing to give it your 100 percent commitment? If so, you will see the results. Just an example, when I start practicing a new thought I see results within minutes.

Because appreciation is your empowerment allowing correction of the stress thoughts, from the first results you get, you are taking back your power. Understand the stress thoughts steal your power, as though you are giving your power to the persons, spaces and things that came before you with evidence of the stress you were thinking. Being one hundred percent committed to cultivating the practice of thinking thoughts of appreciation, you are setting the thought of appreciation as your intention. Set the intention to observe your thoughts so you are aware of the types of thoughts you are thinking at any time.

Observing your thoughts is a very good practice. For as you observe your thoughts, you are enabled to sort out your thoughts and feel instantly the feelings those thoughts are generating. You are consciously processing some two thousand bits of information about your thoughts per second, but it takes a special type of focus to keep up with your processing. So much goes on in the process of formulating a thought. Bits you notice are those most dominant. In other words, these are the bits you most often give your attention. However, these are not subconscious. It’s that you are not focusing on all the bits at the same time. Only those parts you are using in the moment. You are observing the bits most important to you.

So as you are observing your thought, noticing it is a worry thought, take this as a signal to shift to a thought of appreciation. What’s there to appreciate about a worry thought? Think about it in terms of the purpose it serves. A worry thought comes to let you know you are worrying. Worrying, you are showing your confidence in an experience you do not want. You don’t want your bank account to be empty, do you? If you are down to just a few dollars in the account, but you want to look at the balance line, seeing there is plenty of money in the account.  Only you know what you want that number amount to be, realizing it is yours, free and clear. Do understand the direction you want to go in with your thought of money.

The way it works with thought is like this. The amount of money you want is one thought and the amount you have is another thought. The amount you have is what is known; the amount you want is possible. The amount itself is neutral, and you are creating the experience of it with the thought you are thinking and the energy of the feeling you are generating with your thought. Always thought is accompanied with the energy of the feeling it generates. By generating the energy of worry feelings, you are creating more experiences in the image and likeness of lack and limitation. Generating the energy of appreciation feelings, you are creating new experiences in the image and likeness of abundance and plenty.

How could it be that you create new experiences in the image and likeness of plenty and abundance when generating the energy of appreciation feelings with your thought? First, you do this because you are perpetually creating your experiences each moment with your thought. And second, you are always creating the image and likeness of your thought. The image and likeness of your thought appears as your circumstances, events and conditions. It’s that you’re a perpetual creating machine, a perpetual creating mechanism. You are the one who created the known bank account. Take responsibility for your creation, celebrating and appreciating it for what it is.

What happens when you celebrate and appreciate your creation? You are allowing its correction, turning it in the direction for possibilities you are appreciating and celebrating. You are seeing images of your possibilities in the mind’s eye, celebrating and appreciating them for revealing who you have already become. Yes, you have already become the person with the amounts you chose for your bank account balance. Knowing you already possess that which you had chosen, how do you feel about yourself? It depends. Do you feel you deserve it? Are there any beliefs you are holding that tell you something is wrong about having plenty of money? Did you learn early in life that the wealthy are unscrupulous or corrupt, or money would corrupt you?

All of us grew up in a society with specific rules and traditions in conflict with thoughts of having wealth, or who could be wealthy and who could not. Class-division from the upper crust to the lower classes and casts support how much of the “pie” you can have. When seeking wealth in the world, you run into these beliefs. Yet, I want you to understand, you are seeking only that which you already are. You are already wealthy in your internal environment. Your internal environment is your invisible reality of thoughts and beliefs, emotions and images. The best part of your invisible reality is that only you have access to it. No one can take it from you.

You have sole access to your internal environment and everything it contains, but more than this, you came into this physical world with everything necessary for a life of happiness, fun and luxury. It was with you when you were born. Everything you brought with you is in the form of energy or vibrational frequencies. Further, you brought with you the means for bringing your possessions out from your internal environment so you experience it in your external world. The means? The energy of love and appreciation. The energy of love and appreciation is organizing itself into matter, appearing as persons, places and things. The contents of your invisible reality are referred to as infinite possibilities that respond to love and appreciation.

Through our societal traditions, we learned to respond to everything known instead of responding to everything possible. Through your empowerment of appreciation, you are training the mind to respond to everything possible, even when you are aware of that which you know. But you are no longer relying on just your physical senses or your reasoning human intellect. You are turning within to the infinite intelligence you brought with you when you came, where you are surrounded by all the solutions and answers to anything contradicting your power. That you are always surrounded by all the solutions and answers amplifies your empowerment. So why not appreciate everything about yourself to see how the energy is organizing itself.

Appreciating everything about yourself, you are transmitting the energy of thought in the form of vibrational frequencies out from within your being, through to the edges of the Universe, faster than the speed of light where it is gathering and assembling everything you are calling for your sincere appreciation into your webs of relationships. It helps to identify yourself as energy, an energy being, vibrating at the levels sustainable within the fourth dimensional reality for the experiences in the three dimensional world of effects. The fourth dimensional reality is the world of cause where you are always drawing forth the energy that animates the world of effects.

Your internal environment is your true reality. Sometimes called your subjective reality, this is the seat of your empowerment. I want you to understand that everything in your internal environment is unseen and unheard by the physical senses of sight and hearing. Yet this is where you are experiencing everything through the inner senses. Appreciating your inner senses, you are seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and feeling something by thought alone. Yesterday, a close friend excitedly told how she was smelling a cherry pie when watching a TV commercial. She was unwittingly smelling with her inner senses. Feeling, touching and holding, distinguishing warmth or heat, chill or coldness, as though it was physical and tangible is a marvelous power when you activate this potential. You could feel droplets of rain on the body during a drought.

With your inner senses, you are transcending time and space. Transcending time, you are in the present moment, the now moment, taking imaginal action, an invisible act, of something you are going to be and do in your future visible world. With your inner senses, transcending space is entering any location invisibly, remaining there until you are feeling the location around you.  In the imagined location, you are using the inner senses where you are seeing, hearing, tasting, and smelling as well as touching things that are here, so absorbed in the new location that you forget what is going where you left the physical body.

Everything you are experiencing shows where you are in consciousness focusing thought. When you focus thought at the beach when the body is in the office, you are psychologically at the beach. Wadding out into the water, you know you are there feeling the wetness on the body. This is just one example of transcending space, particularly when you no longer want to be in the space you are occupying. Let’s say you had outgrown the space you call home. Don’t complain about not having enough space for your stuff, Instead, appreciate it for revealing the desire for a larger, more accommodating place. This is the desire to change your location, and you are in the moment executing your empowerment of appreciation.

Appreciation is the master key that opens the doors for any state you want to occupy. I’m talking about states of consciousness. All states are frequencies of energy, vibrating at their own rates, and every thought or concept represents a vibratory state. Some states feel good. Usually we are happy in these states, that is, unless we feel we do not deserve to feel good – a topic for another discussion. However, any state that does not feel good is reminding you to organize the energy of yourself into the tangible, three dimensional good feeling state. Choose the thoughts you want to experience, and generate the feelings that get you there, making there here.

Using your master key of appreciation, you are opening doors of happiness. With this key, you are allowing correction in your atmosphere toward yourself and others, often bringing them with you through these doors. Appreciate others, whether they come with you, or if they don’t. Your empowerment is not about changing anyone or anything in the world of effects. It is about changing yourself by changing your beliefs, attitudes and habits of behavior. It is about the experience of arranging and rearranging the contents of consciousness with thoughts, beliefs, emotions and images of appreciation. Everything you do in my subjective reality is mental rehearsal for future events in the external world. Test your empowerment of appreciation!
