The Last Hope Against War and Starvation

The third film of The Refugee Trilogy [preceded by 50 Feet from Syria & LIFEBOAT] HUNGER WARD is filmed from inside two of the most active therapeutic feeding centers in Yemen. The film documents two women fighting to thwart the spread of starvation against the backdrop of a forgotten war. The film provides unflinching portraits of Dr. Aida Alsadeeq and Nurse Mekkia Mahdi as they work to save the lives of hunger-stricken children within a population on the brink of famine. With unprecedented access within a sensitive conflict-zone, HUNGER WARD reveals a world of bravery and commitment-to-care for war-stricken children amidst desperate need.
The film offers a firsthand look at the consequences of a six-year long war and famine in Yemen — the worst humanitarian crisis in the world according to the United Nations.
