The Funklabb bring the 70s back to life with “Pretty Please,” their summery new track about longing for a crush. The track is a co-release with Myah Marie, who’s known for her backing vocals on songs like Britney Spears’ “Circus” and Selena Gomez’s Rare album, and features Ruba and Young Dinero.
“Pretty Please” is one of several singles Ed Lawson and Wes Davis are planning to release independently this year. After working behind-the-scenes with artists like Will Smith and The Notorious B.I.G., they decided to merge their talents into a project focusing on collaboration, uplifting underground artists, and songs like “Pretty Please” are the funky result. The duo debuted back in February with “Mama Said No,” another fun track that also featured Myah Marie.
