Why Do You

By MARINE JABBOUR

Real-fiction

Why do you remember movies’ characters and forget people’s names?

A conversation with a stranger on the bus

Your smile as I pass in the street

We spend years, on the same street, smiling at the same stranger

“Say no word for words ruin beautiful things”, he said,

Tic Toc

Delayed meetings are the best

I love waiting for you,”waiting for you” is the subject

1, 2, 10

The clock started spinning fast

We spend years, on the same street,

Do movies take us out of Reality?

What is Reality when we can skip it for years

On this sidewalk, I greet the actors I love

And on that street, I sit and laugh with the one I love

But I’m alone

Why do you remember movies’ characters and forget people’s names?

  1. “We spend years, on the same street, smiling at the same stranger”
It’s incredible how true that is. Walking by the same neighbors, and seeing the same deli worker and we can be so friendly for years but never truly know about them.

    1. Yea , “we never truly know about them” , so true
