
A Maryland man is dead after a motorcycle crash on SR 167 on Monday, according to 3 News.
Officers responded to a crash at southbound SR 167, north of Mile Marker 13 on March 27 around 2:20 p.m.
According to Nevada State Police, a green Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling at a speed ‘too fast for conditions’ when it attempted a curve and failed.
The motorcyclist traveled into the right side dirt shoulder when it struck an embankment and overturned.
The rider was ejected and succumbed to his injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rider was identified as 29-year-old Richard Bienve Batista Peralta from Gaithersburg, Maryland.
This marks the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol – Southern Command’s 15th fatal crash this year, resulting in 16 fatalities.
