The third book in Tomi Adeyemi’s “Legacy of the Orisha” trilogy will release on June 25, 2024.
“Children of Anguish and Anarchy”, the trilogy’s final installment, follows Zelie and the Maji’s attempt to escape capture by a people called the Skrull.
In “Children of Blood and Bone” Adeyemi introduced readers to the Maji’s forbidden power of the Orisha and Zelie’s embrace of her birthright. The sequel, “Children of Virtue and Vengeance”, expanded on Adeyemi’s themes of family, loyalty, and resistance. The final book explores Zelie’s renewed search for freedom.

A movie adaptation for the series was announced in December 2023. “Children of Blood and Bone” will be directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood.
