Gym Rat: Bodies are Made in the Winter too!

Ever heard the saying “don’t settle for less?” Of course you have. People should not settle less for a career choice, love, or self. In speaking of self, don’t let yourself go because it is getting cooler outside. This should all be time for extra motivation. Having the thought of looking good with clothes on, I mean the entire coverage, excties me!

Let’s talk exercise, that excites the gym rat inside. The good old Cardio! Yay right? I am sure the entire population dread the mile walks on the tread mill or the infamous stationary spin bike. However, Cardio is good for you and the cardiovascular system. What about the alternative to Cardio? High intensity or low intensity impact for the body is better because it help burns calories for days on end, ATP or afterburn.

Strength training or resistance training help build the metabolism, burn fat, and gain the necessary muscle. Feeling stronger yet? Therefore, building mass or lean muscle helps the body become sculpted and toned. Let’s not forget the protein to eat. Protein helps repair muscle fibers that would tear sometime during lifting.

MOO-SAAA!!! Incorrect spelling I know but don’t you love a quiet chanting while meditating in a calm environment and space? Yoga helps alleviate stress, pain, and worry. Or something to do why the kids take a nap, who knows. However, yoga builds flexibility and strength in the body. Makes you feel like a warrior with knowing variance positions and definitely learning the infamous head stands. There are all stages of yoga, beginner, intermediate, and advance.

No matter the expertise level for working out, go to the gym and do it. Eat a healthy balance to help that winter body progress and buy a mirro
