David Shaw offers fans an exciting new glimpse to his solo debut outside of The Revivalists with the fun music video for his track “Got Me Feeling Good,” which features skaters Bobby Bonsey and Javan “Slick Twist” Hawthorne:

“I have always had a passion for skating,” Shaw shares. “If I wasn’t pushing a skateboard around or playing guitar as a 14-year-old, I was in my skates, and over this past year I had a lot more time on my [hands] so I got the itch to get back into it. As I was doing so, it really reinvigorated my love for the art. One day while I was having a skate down by the river, I ran into an old friend, Bobby Bonsey, who had happened to be skating out there as well. We struck up a conversation and that’s what planted the seed for the video.”

The Lane Kelly-directed clip was filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana, Shaw’s home city and musical base. It’s the latest taste of his self-titled debut solo album, which will be out on May 7th via Yokoko Records and C3 Records.

Making the album rollout even more thrilling for listeners is a series of five livestream concerts called “From the City to the Swamp,” allowing Shaw to play select venues in Chicago, IL, Hamilton, OH, and New Orleans, LA. Three of the shows will mark the debut performance of Shaw’s backing band, while he’ll be playing the New Orleans shows acoustic on his own.
