Louis Erard presents Le Régulateur Esprit Flinqué, a new expression of craft where light, texture, and structure shape the dial. Two limited-edition creations join the Noirmont Métiers d'Art collection: a blue edition (originally a Worn & Wound collaboration) and a new grey variation. Each limited to 99 pieces.

Swiss Watchmaker Unveils Two Limited-Edition Regulators

Swiss watchmaker Louis Erard has just released Le Régulateur Esprit Flinqué, a new addition to its expanding Métiers d’Art collection that centers visual texture and light play as much as mechanical precision. The collection debuts with two limited edition creations, each limited to 99 timepieces: a blue edition first introduced last year in December as a special collaboration with Worn & Wound, and a new grey variation that serves as a pure Louis Erard interpretation.

A Regulator Reimagined with Skeletonized Discs

At the heart of both luxury pieces lies Louis Erard’s signature regulator movement, which separates hours, minutes, and seconds for increased legibility. For the first time ever at the heralded brand, the hours and seconds appear on skeletonized rotating discs. Their open-worked construction required precise development to ensure smooth rotation, stability, and legibility within the regulator layout. The result is a sense of lightness and motion – the discs appear to float above the dial.

The Esprit Flinqué Signature: Light, Texture, and Structure

At first glance, eyes are immedaitely drawn to the minute display in deep blue or grey. Fluted sunray lines structure the dial and guide light across its surface. The signature fir tree–shaped minute hand recalls Louis Erard’s visual identity, while a lighter surrounding frame lets intensity shift as the watch is in motion on the wrist. Reflections evolve across the dial, exposing variations in brightness, depth, and clarity. This interplay defines the Esprit Flinqué signature.

Two Variations, Two Personalities

The blue edition is a collaboration with Worn & Wound, featuring a deep blue dial with subtle blue-tinted sub-dial and a beige grained calf leather strap that brings an added layer of character to the wrist. The grey edition features an anthracite lacquer finish and a matching grey grained calf leather strap for a monochrome expression with a dynamic, architectural presence. Both models share the same 39mm polished stainless-steel case, automatic Sellita caliber SW266-1 movement with a 38-hour power reserve and 28,800 VpH, and 5 bar water resistance. The blue edition caseback is engraved with ‘Louis Erard x Worn & Wound – Limited Edition 1 of 99’, while the grey edition caseback reads ‘Limited Edition 1 of 99’.

A New Expression of Métiers d’Art

With Esprit Flinqué, Louis Erard continues to build a Métiers d’Art territory defined over recent years by explorations in hand engraving, grand feu enamel, and fil d’or – each project serves as a field for experimentation where traditional savoir-faire is translated into contemporary watchmaking expressions. Esprit Flinqué extends this approach into a new visual dialogue, driven by light, structure, and movement.

Pricing, Availability, and Brand Heritage

Founded in 1929, Louis Erard disrupts traditional watchmaking by making horological craftsmanship accessible to a wider audience. Under Manuel Emch’s leadership, the brand prioritizes innovation over conformity, pursuing lasting excellence rather than rapid growth. Both limited editions are available now at select retailers and via louiserard.com.
