Pressure

Life breaks me it takes me piece by piece.
I’m lost to it, like a missing piece to a jigsaw puzzle
Never complete, never whole
Floating aimlessly
Floating, sinking, drowning
I’m drowning
In this life, pressure pushes me under
Wife, mother, child, sister
Caregiver, financial planner, maid, cook
My many hats sometimes seem like anchors
Guilt
The guilt that follows these feeling
The guilt pushes me under
Drowning, sinking, failing
The pressures of this life
The smile hides it
The smile shields me
The smile makes me shine

I’m a writer… I love to write! I’ve been writing since I was eight years old. I can’t imagine life without stories. My life, and your life it’s a story that we are writing everyday.
