PaviElle! Thank you so much for joining me for a chat! Let’s dig right in, tell us a bit about yourself?

Sonny Boy Williamson II by Theresa Chilton

My name is PaviElle Williamson, pronouns are she/her and I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan but I moved to Seattle in 2016 hoping to make more money and get health insurance. I am the Great Great Granddaughter of Sonny Boy Williamson II, the world renowned blues harmonica player. I’ve had a passion for music since I was a kid and would always be singing and dancing around the house. Me and my mother would practice choreographic moves from music videos just for fun on the weekends. Fashion has always been a part of my life as well, because of my mother being a fashion designer and artist. Reading the Vogue fall issue was always a requirement, and watching any fashion shows possible for inspiration.

What made you decide to start your brand?

I started my brand because I wanted people to see my art and expression of self in ways other than just work or casual gatherings. People always have had a tendency to prejudge who I was without even truly trying to get to know me. But I noticed when they would see my art, photos, and/or music, they would have this look of shock on their face. I wanted this brand to be more than just me, but also a way to show others what they can do with just drive and ideas on media platforms like Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. As a black woman, I always feel silenced in my everyday life by others and their judgements about me and I started this brand to give others hope and inspiration.

You’ve been featured with several prominent fashion brands such as Dolls Kill, TRIPP NYC and Nasty Gem. What’s one brand you’d love to collaborate with?

Versace.

Tell us a bit more about your music. What are your musical inspirations?

I’m still discovering what my sound is, but as of right now, I am an experimental electronic artist that hopefully will grow into a more Electronic/Rap/Experimental scream singer. I currently have my Electronic album on all platforms, but I have well over 100 songs on SoundCloud.

Is there anything else TREMG readers should know about you?

I would like to let TREMG readers know that I have tried to take my own life in the past and failed. If you hurt inside, please reach out, try to create, try to get out of bed and show the world what you got. You aren’t alone and if you need to talk to someone and feel you can’t, you can message me anytime or call 800-273-8255.
