A TikTok video depicts a woman renovating her house only to make a surprising revelation. While renovating the house, resident Hannah Otto of Hampsire, England hired workers to remove a bathroom wall due to what she reported as “leaky tiles from mis installment into the wooden beams and panels”. A glimpse behind the wall-a second bathtub! Behind the bathtub was anther layer of tiles reflecting through the mirror.
According to Otto, the house was purchased in early 2020 and, despite prior renovations, the second shower was completely unbeknownst to him. “I mean, I knew our house has atrocious DIY”, says Otto, “But I shocked to find a whole other shower behind the wall. Our house is never straightforward”.
The TikTok video can be seen here. The video shows Otto removing a frame of the house covered in mold only to find an entire layer of tile. Upon further inspection, another shower and mirror could be seen. “We have a mirror and shower behind a shower and tile behind another shower and tile”, Otto says in the video. The TikTok receives about 10 million views with people joking about the structure of the house. “Keep going, you’ll eventually have 4 bathrooms and 3 baths”, writes one comment.
While the shower was completely intact, the shower was not working unsurprisingly. Still, Otto reports that most of her house was made of wood so seeing all of these layers of tiles left her quite devastating. Still, with two showers, we’re sure that getting her kids ready for school will be more efficient.
