I do not watch horror movies. They make me extremely uncomfortable and squirmy. One of the most uncomfortable sub-genres of horror movies is indie horror. Speaking of indie horror coming from Breaking Glass Pictures we are getting Day 13. Lovely.
The movie is being helmed by Jax Medel and stars Martin Kove (The Karate Kid franchise), Genevieve Hannelius (Dog with a Blog), and Alex MacNicoll (13 Reasons Why, The Society) and centers around Colton (MacNicoll), a 17-year-old baby sitting his little sister over the summer. He begins to fall for a girl who lives across the street in a creepy old house. Colton grows suspicious of her foster father as he grows more threatening towards her. Once he figures out the foster father is planning on ritualistically murdering her in a Satanic ritual he attempts to rescue her and shit hits the fan sideways and I will not be watching this movie at night.
The trailer is up on YouTube and will be out digitally on the 4th of August and on DVD on the 1st of September.
