If last week’s debate was enough lies on screen to just ignore both of the White males running for the American Presidency, yesterday made the Joe Biden ticket a lot more clearer. Today’s a good day, especially if you live in the South, or in history known as the Confederacy, to check your voter’s registration information. This is happening because a half Black, Black looking President won an election back in 2008. Since his administration, the GOP has been hijacking the American Democracy from one election to the next. The last Presidential election ended with the heartbreaking events seen on the United States Capitol on January 6th 2021. In the years that followed, Americans lost the protections under Roe vs Wade, the Congressional GOP wing aka Maga, has taken over the House floor for their personal vendettas, and the fear is palpable. Last week, we introduced you to Project 25, the Conservative plot to kidnap democracy for those whom they cannot handle, the others. Along with Mr. Obama’s admin legacy which is a threat, the US Census has reported that Generation Alpha is the last white majority. The numbers are the real issue white America has with others.

The census is a vital tool for understanding the demographics of the country, and it’s used to allocate resources and representation. While some white people might feel anxious about the changing demographics of the US, it’s important to remember that this anxiety is often rooted in fear and misinformation. Do you remember the alternative facts Sean Spicer used to promote? That was the beginning of the end. The census is not a tool to diminish the rights or voices of any group, and it’s important to focus on the benefits it offers to everyone. A diverse and representative society is a strength, not a weakness, and the census helps ensure that all voices are heard.

The events of January 6th, 2021, when a mob of Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the United States Capitol Building in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, marked a profound assault on American democracy. Trump had repeatedly made baseless claims of widespread election fraud and encouraged his followers to ‘fight like hell’ to prevent the certification of Joe Biden’s victory.

As a result, a large and angry crowd gathered in Washington, D.C., on January 6th, and some of them breached the Capitol Building, forcing members of Congress to evacuate and disrupting the electoral count. The riot was met with widespread condemnation from both Democrats and Republicans, and Trump was later impeached by the House of Representatives for inciting an insurrection. However, the Senate acquitted him, and he remains a powerful figure in the Republican Party.

The January 6th attack was a culmination of Trump’s years of attacks on democratic institutions and norms. He has repeatedly cast doubt on the legitimacy of elections, praised authoritarian leaders, and sought to undermine the rule of law. The events of January 6th were a warning sign that democracy in the United States is under threat from within, and it is clear that efforts must be made to strengthen democratic institutions and norms in order to prevent a similar attack from happening again. Our news organization put out Cult Minded in response to what our journalists saw on that faithful day.

The Supreme Court of the United States, colloquially known as SCOTUS, stands as the highest court in the land, holding the ultimate authority to interpret the Constitution and federal laws. Its nine justices, appointed for life by the President and confirmed by the Senate, wield immense power, shaping the legal landscape and influencing the lives of every American.

Their decisions, often highly debated and controversial, impact everything from voting rights and gun control to abortion access and environmental regulations. The court’s composition, with its ideological leanings, plays a significant role in the outcome of cases, as seen in recent decisions that have shifted the balance on issues like campaign finance and affirmative action. Despite its monumental influence, SCOTUS remains a subject of intense scrutiny, with ongoing discussions surrounding its legitimacy, the role of originalism in its interpretation of the Constitution, and the influence of partisan politics on judicial appointments. This clash of ideas, combined with the court’s enduring power, ensures that SCOTUS will continue to be a focal point of national debate and a key player in shaping the future of American society.

The debate has been mostly on the wording and language used by the six justices who sent the immunity issue back down to the lower court to clarify what an official act or an unofficial act by a sitting President could be. The POTUS would only be responsbile for unofficial acts. Is holding a rally the same day the opposing side is set to ratify a President-elect as the new President during a transitionary period going to be considered an official act? Based upon the Maga chatter – they went to the US Capitol because Trump told them the election was fraudulent. It wasn’t and there was no proof of it which is the reasoning behind his VEEP, Mike Pence, becoming the main target for the mob. Is his none protection of his Vice President going to be considered an official act? Liz Chaney, the chair of the January 6th committee has also been ostracized from her party because she wanted to lead the investigation into the events leading up to that day.
